SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 868

Homero Rosales, Jr. |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|
citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of Homero Rosales, Jr., |
|
who died January 10, 2009, at the age of 41; and |
|
WHEREAS, Homero Rosales was born January 30, 1967, in |
|
Matamoros; an exemplary citizen, he was respected in the |
|
community for his many accomplishments; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Rosales was a longtime employee of the Houston |
|
Chronicle, where he was noted for his dedication and diligence; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he |
|
gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, generosity, and great |
|
good humor will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Rosales was a devoted husband and father, and |
|
he will long be remembered with affection and admiration by all |
|
who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Homero Rosales, Jr.: his wife of 17 years, Lydia |
|
Rosales; his children, Omar and Erica Rosales; his parents, |
|
Homero Rosales, Sr., and Elia Rosales; his sister, Claudia Villa; |
|
his brother, Mario Rosales; and his grandmother, Porfiria |
|
Lozano; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of Homero Rosales, Jr. |
