SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 889
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  join the citizens of Houston in recognizing Ross Krueger of Troop
  35, who has recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and
 
         WHEREAS, Only five out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn the
  exceptional privilege of being named to the elite corps of Eagle
  Scouts; and
 
         WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding
  leadership through the planning and execution of a service
  project that has benefited his community; and
 
         WHEREAS, For his Eagle leadership project, Ross designed
  and built an outdoor structure to hold donated barbecue pits at
  the Mission of Yahweh that increased the mission's outdoor
  cooking capacity; the structure was completed two weeks before
  Hurricane Ike and, remarkably, sustained no damage in the storm;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, By earning the coveted Eagle Badge, Ross brings
  great honor to himself, his family, his troop, and his community;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, Ross is truly a shining example to the young
  people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend Ross Krueger on earning the rank of
  Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great achievement; and,
  be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  Eagle Scout Krueger as an expression of the high regard of the
  Texas Senate.
