SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 906

In Memory

of

Jesus G. Robledo

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Jesus G. Robledo, who died May 5, 2009, at the age of 77; and

WHEREAS, Born November 27, 1931, Jesus Robledo was an exemplary citizen who was widely respected in the community for his many accomplishments; and

WHEREAS, An excellent businessman and entrepreneur, Mr. Robledo created a successful dry cleaning establishment, which was a fixture in the Southside community for 38 years; and

WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, kindness, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Robledo was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his family and many friends will continue to live with the memories of his life and many achievements; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Jesus Robledo: his loving wife of almost 57 years, Carolina M. Robledo; his sons and daughter-in-law, Xavier G. Robledo and Richard J. Robledo and Michele; his daughter and son-in-law, Alma D. DeLeon and Stephen; and his six grandchildren and great-grandson; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jesus G. Robledo.
