SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 918

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Jonathan Dumire for his excellent work on behalf of the citizens of this state while serving an internship in the office of Senator Kel Seliger during the 81st Legislative Session; and

WHEREAS, Jonathan is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in political science at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, where he is chairman of the College Republicans; he is a committee member of the Texas College Republicans Convention; and

WHEREAS, He graduated from Midland High School in 2004; he served as parliamentarian for the Student Government Association at Midland College and graduated in December of 2007 with an associate of science degree in general studies; and

WHEREAS, Jonathan's experience and training in leadership and public service include a run for a seat on the Midland City Council and a summer internship in the office of United States Representative Mike Conaway; and

WHEREAS, The constituents of Senate District 31 have greatly benefited from Jonathan's hard work and dedication, and as the legislative session nears its conclusion, it is indeed appropriate that he be congratulated for a job well done; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby commend Jonathan Dumire for his exemplary service in the office of Senator Kel Seliger and extend to him best wishes for success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
