SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 922

In Memory

of

Frank E. Ramirez, Sr.

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Frank E. Ramirez, Sr., who died May 9, 2009, at the age of 93; and

WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was born January 7, 1916, in Devine, Texas; he worked for the Gunter Hotel for 40 years and for the Menger Hotel for 13 years; he was married to the late Leonor Ramirez; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Ramirez was an honorable gentleman who took a genuine interest in others and enriched the lives of all who knew him with his compassion, his warmth, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; and

WHEREAS, He was a devoted father and grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by his family and his many friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Frank E. Ramirez, Sr.: his son, Frank Ramirez, Jr., and his wife, Celia; his daughter, Norma R. Reyes, and her husband, Fernando; and his six grandchildren, Monica, Valerie, Bryan, Fred, Jason, and Allison; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Frank E. Ramirez, Sr.
