SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 948
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Transforming Texas Waterfronts for its exemplary
  efforts in improving and developing our state's waterways and
  lakefronts; and
 
         WHEREAS, Transforming Texas Waterfronts is a coalition of
  cities across the state committed to improving the quality of
  life for their citizens by combining community initiatives and
  infrastructure improvements to develop and beautify the areas
  surrounding Texas' rivers and lakes; and
 
         WHEREAS, The cities of this organization and its diverse
  projects are the Johnson Creek and River Legacy in Arlington, the
  Trinity River Corridor Project in Dallas, the Trinity River
  Vision in Fort Worth, Connecting Main Street to the Lake in
  Marble Falls, the San Antonio River Improvements Project in San
  Antonio, and the Brazos River Development in Waco; and
 
         WHEREAS, The members of this outstanding organization have
  created an inspiring educational exhibit that has been placed on
  view in the State Capitol; this display provides vital
  information relating to these important improvement projects and
  works to encourage the broad-based support they deserve; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend Transforming Texas Waterfronts on
  its outstanding efforts at improving our state's waterfront
  infrastructure; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  member cities as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
