SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1009
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  John E. McAdams
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Normangee in mourning the loss of John E. McAdams,
  who died April 16, 2009, at the age of 82; and
         WHEREAS, John Ethel McAdams was born in Grimes County on
  January 27, 1927, to Georgia and John McAdams; he lived most of
  his life in Madison County and attended school in the High
  Prairie community; he was married to the late Jessie Mitchell
  McAdams; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. McAdams worked in road construction and
  farming; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, training horses, and
  spending time with family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, He was baptized at the Chapel Hill Baptist Church
  when he was young; in later years he was a member of Sweet Zion
  Baptist Church in Madisonville; and
         WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity,
  John McAdams will be remembered by all who knew him for his
  wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel; a devoted father and
  grandfather, he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of John E. McAdams: his sons and daughter-in-law, Robert
  McAdams and Reginal Allen and his wife, Eugina; his daughters and
  son-in-law, Ruby Nealy, Carol Brooks, and Sheila Byrd and her
  husband, Richard; his sister, Loree Webber; and his eight
  grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of John Ethel McAdams.
