SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1052
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Henry G. Schuble
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Judge Henry G. Schuble, who died
  December 21, 2008, at the age of 76; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime judge who spent 31 years on the bench
  and was known for his love of the law, his keen insight, and his
  skill as a mediator, Judge Schuble was born August 19, 1932; a
  1950 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, he earned a
  bachelor's degree and a law degree from Baylor University, and he
  served in the United States Army as a security investigator in
  the 39th Battalion; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Schuble began his legal career as a city
  attorney in Houston; he then served as an associate probate judge
  and spent 18 years in private practice; in 1977, he was appointed
  by Governor Dolph Briscoe to the newly created 245th Judicial
  District Court of Harris County, a position he held with
  distinction for nearly two decades; and
         WHEREAS, Following his retirement from the district court,
  Judge Schuble remained very active as a visiting judge and a
  successful mediator; he was voted Best Qualified Assigned Judge
  by the Nueces County Bar Association in 2002; and
         WHEREAS, An avid dove and quail hunter and outdoorsman,
  Judge Schuble gave generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth,
  and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Judge Henry G. Schuble; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Judge Henry G. Schuble.
