SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1084
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Dr. Glen H. Stanbaugh for his many contributions to the
  field of medicine; and
         WHEREAS, A magna cum laude graduate of The University of
  Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Stanbaugh served as the
  chief nephrologist at Womack Army Hospital before moving to West
  Texas in 1974; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Stanbaugh has served on the faculty of the
  Texas Tech University Health Science Center since 1974, serving
  for a time as chief of nephrology; he served as medical director
  of the South Plains Dialysis Center for more than a decade, and he
  has been medical director of West Texas Renal Lab since its
  inception; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Stanbaugh is a founding member of the Texas
  Renal Coalition, and he played an important role in developing
  the organization, which is now widely recognized for its positive
  role in preventing kidney disease and its complications; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Stanbaugh has participated in numerous
  symposia and has published many articles on the subject of end
  stage renal disease; he has worked often with the Texas
  Legislature, increasing understanding of the costs of kidney
  disease and the importance of prevention efforts; he is truly
  deserving of recognition for his dedication to fighting this
  devastating disease; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
  Legislature, hereby commend Dr. Glen H. Stanbaugh for his many
  contributions to medicine in our state and extend to him best
  wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
