No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Section 28.026, Education Code, to school districts to provide high school seniors and their parents or guardians with a notice regarding automatic college admission.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

No additional cost is anticipated to school districts that currently provide a similar notice to high school seniors who are eligible for automatic admission.  If a school district currently does not provide notice of eligibility for automatic admission to students and parents, minor costs associated with copying and distributing the notification form could be incurred.
