No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code relating to access to certain information contained in a decree of dissolution of a marriage or in an order in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship. The bill would require the Supreme Court to adopt rules restricting access to personal information in suits affecting parent-child relationships and divorce decrees. To the extent the bill would require a modification in judicial proceedings, the fiscal implication to the State is not anticipated to be significant. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
