No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill adds an exemption to the prohibition of possessing or carrying a club for certain certified animal control officers who possess or carry the instrument to deter the bite of an animal while in the performance of official duties. 
 
The bill also adds to the topics included in the animal control courses prescribed by the Department of State Health Services the policies and procedures to be followed with respect to an instrument used specifically for deterring the bite of an animal. No significant fiscal implications to the state are expected as a result of this bill.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
