No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to add attempted murder of the child's other parent and criminal solicitation to murder the child's other parent to the list of crimes for which a person's parental rights will be involuntarily terminated.  To the extent the bill would amend provisions related to involuntary terminations, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
