HB530 by Anchia (Relating to law enforcement training relating to the trafficking of persons.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code for the training of peace officers relating to the trafficking of persons. The bill would add Occupations Code, Section 1701.258, Education and Training Programs on Trafficking of Persons, which requires the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) to establish a peace officer education and training program in human trafficking. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009 and TCLEOSE shall begin offering the program no later than January 1, 2011.

 

TCLEOSE does not anticipate significant fiscal impact to their agency from the bill.
