No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow a federal postcard application to be submitted electronically.  The secretary of state would be required to establish a date on which an electronically submitted federal postcard application must be received by the early voting clerk.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill would allow an unregistered voter to submit an electronic transmission of a federal postcard application to an early voting clerk. Under current law, an unregistered voter can submit a federal postcard application by mail.
