No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to require prosecution in the county where an individual resides for an offense involving official misconduct or an offense against public administration that is committed by an elected state officer or an officer appointed to fill a vacancy in an elective office.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
