No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require a regional utility authority that plans to construct a facility to supply drinking water that will be located in the corporate boundaries of a municipality that is not participating in the regional utility authority to meet certain criteria prior to constructing the facility.


Local Government Impact

The added costs would vary by affected authority, but are not anticipated to be significant in proportion to the authority's overall budget.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
