No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require all candidates to provide either a certified copy of a birth certificate or other proof of U.S. citizenship when applying for a place on the ballot.  The bill would be effective September 1, 2009.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
