HB842 by Martinez, "Mando" (Relating to the authority of certain school districts to lay fiber optic cable in county rights-of-way.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code to authorize school districts within 60 miles of the Texas-Mexico border to place fiber optic cable in a county right-of-way as long as the school district coordinates with the county and does not interfere with the property or facilities of the county or of a utility using the right-of-way.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
