HB863 by Gutierrez (Relating to the hours of sale for liquor.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code, Section 105.01 to permit the sale of liquor from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.  The bill would also permit the sale of liquor on Mondays following Christmas Day or New Year’s Day if either holiday falls on a Sunday.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

 

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission  and the Comptroller of Public Accounts state the bill would create no significant fiscal impact to their agencies or the State.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
