No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would Probate Code Section 687 to require more specific information in a Certificate of Medical Examination (CME) for guardianship and would allow a CME or a Determination of Mental Retardation for a guardianship of a person alleged to have mental retardation.
 
It is assumed that any costs associated with the implementation can be absorbed within available resources.
