No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Commissioner of Education to review the need for a conservator or management team on or before the 90th day after the appointment of a conservator or management team. The Commissioner would be required to remove the conservator or management team on or before the 180th day after the date of the appointment.  The bill would establish new reporting requirements for conservators, management teams, and boards of managers appointed under provisions related to accreditation sanctions.

No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.


Local Government Impact

School districts would be required to pay the additional costs for monitors, conservators, management teams, and boards of managers to comply with the new reporting requirements.  Costs are not expected to be significant.
