No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a court in a county with a population of more than one million to promptly give written notice to a petitioner or movant of the date set for a hearing on dissolution of marriage and suits affecting the parent-child relationship.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the statute would apply only to Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, and Bexar counties.
