The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the periods of possession of a child to which the child's possessory conservator is entitled under a standard possession order. The bill would add provisions relating to child custody summer possession arrangements and no affect on judicial workloads or fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote of all members. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
