IN RE:
HB977 by Burnam (Relating to use of the money from the Texas enterprise fund to promote renewable energy technology.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require at least ten percent of Texas Enterprise grants be used on enterprises that have as their primary purpose the provision of energy derived from renewable energy technology unless the governor determines that compliance with this subsection would be impracticable or would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the fund. The bill would also require the governor to submit reports to the legislature regarding these grants. The bill would be effective September 1, 2009.
