IN RE: | HB995 by Turner, Chris (Relating to notice of expiration and price change in retail electric service contracts.), As Introduced |
The bill would establish requirements for retail electric providers to notify customers with fixed price contracts at least 60 days in advance of the contract expiration date regarding the date and amount of any price change and to provide information regarding the Public Utility Commission's (PUC) Power-to-Choose website. The bill would require the PUC to adopt rules to implement these provisions.
The PUC anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
