No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the ability of an employee to participate in certain school-related activities of the employee's child. Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
Local Government Impact
According to the analysis of TWC, this bill applies to Local Workforce Development Boards as employers. They will need to review and revise, as necessary, leave policies and procedures, inform employees, and post the prescribed sign.
