HB1022 by Deshotel (Relating to a preference in state purchasing for products from disaster areas.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code to give preference in state purchasing to goods produced in a Texas disaster area; ending on the first anniversary of the disaster declaration.

If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2009.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
