HB1081 by Herrero (Relating to requiring posting of certain information regarding nursing homes and related institutions on the Department of Aging and Disability Services website.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the Department on Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to post detailed compliance information regarding each institution licensed by the department, including the information an institution is required to make accessible by Subsection (c), on the department's website.

Under the provisions of the bill, DADS would also be required to update the website once a month to provide the most current compliance information regarding each institution.

The agency indicates that it currently posts information regarding nursing homes and related institutions on the DADS website.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
