No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require that in an emergency communication district located in a county with a population of between more than 20,000 and less than 30,000, the board must include a licensed peace officer appointed by the county sheriff. The county sheriff would be required to make the appointment as soon as practicable after the effective date of the bill.
