HB1187 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the membership of the board of managers for certain emergency communication districts.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require that in an emergency communication district located in a county with a population of between more than 20,000 and less than 30,000, the board must include a licensed peace officer appointed by the county sheriff. The county sheriff would be required to make the appointment as soon as practicable after the effective date of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
