The bill would authorize the governing body of a general-law municipality, by ordinance, to restrict in the municipality how close the residence of a person required to register as a sex offender may be to a premises where children commonly gather.
Local Government Impact
Any administrative costs associated with enacting an ordinance could be absorbed within existing resources. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
