TO: | Honorable Allan Ritter, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources |
FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB1245 by Brown, Betty (Relating to the rates charged by a water and sewer utility.), As Introduced |
The bill would allow the Commission on Environmental Quality's executive director to establish interim rates for appeals filed with the agency. Under current law, interim rates can be requested upon the executive director's or an appellant's motion to the Commission. The bill would remove that provision.
The bill's passage is not expected to result in any significant fiscal impact to the state.
