IN RE: | HB1326 by Rios Ybarra (Relating to a plan to replenish the food supplies of food banks or food pantries following a disaster.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend Government Code, Chapter 418 to require the Governor's Division of Emergency Management to include provisions for quickly replenishing the food supplies of area food banks or food pantries following a disaster to the current comprehensive state emergency management plan. This bill takes effect immediately if two-thirds of the members in both the House of Representatives and the Senate vote to approve this bill. If not, the bill takes effect on September 1, 2009.
The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency from implementing the provisions of the bill.
