No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill is related to the responsibility of each student or student's parent or guardian for the return of textbooks and technological equipment.  The bill would require the commissioner of education to adopt rules specifying criteria for determining whether a textbook, electronic textbook, or piece of technological equipment is returned in an acceptable condition.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
