No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

If a school district fails to provide service record information as delineated under the bill, the Texas Education Agency would be directed to provide information to a hiring school district to enable determination of proper placement of the affected employee on the district's salary schedule.

Local Government Impact

If districts are not already providing the required service record information within the time period specified by the bill, some additional cost may be incurred to prepare and provide the service record within the specified time period.
