HB1490 by Driver (Relating to injury leave and related benefits for certain state peace officers injured in the course of performance of duty.), As Introduced
The bill would amend Government Code, Section 661.918(b) which adds the offense of intoxication assault as an offense for which a peace officer is entitled to receive injury leave, without deduction in salary and without being required to use compensatory time or other type of leave. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009.
