HB1492 by Driver (Relating to achievement awards presented by the Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code, Section 1701.401 to permit the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education to present no more than 20 awards related to incidents and accomplishments each year.  The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote of all the members in each house, otherwise it would take effect on September 1, 2009.

 

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education states there will be no significant fiscal impact to the agency to implement the provisions of the bill.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
