No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill requires the Department of State Health Services to add information regarding Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), including current recommendations for infant sleeping conditions to lower the risk of SIDS, to an existing resource pamphlet for parents of newborn children.  It is assumed that any cost associated with adding this information and printing the new pamphlet can be absorbed within existing agency resources.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
