HB1547 by Creighton (Relating to the provision by an appraisal district of certain information on an Internet website operated by the district.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Tax Code to require that all appraisal districts operate an Internet website and specifies what information is to be included on the website. A statement regarding certain information posted on the website must be included as part of the notice of appraised value sent to a property owner if the property is a single-family residence that qualifies for a homestead exemption.

The bill would take effect January 1, 2010.
