IN RE:
HB1579 by Gonzales (Relating to a county's removal of flood water resulting from a natural disaster in certain communities.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 561, Local Government Code, to authorize a county to provide assistance for the removal from private property, including a road, of flood water resulting from a natural disaster in a colonia if the removal of the water is necessary to protect the health and safety of the colonia.
Local Government Impact
Costs incurred by a county would depend on the amount of flood water to be removed and the level of assistance provided.
