No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Property Code relating to certain notice requirements regarding possessory liens on certain motor vehicles, and would provide a criminal penalty. To the extent the bill would amend the requirements for possessory liens, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

It is anticipated that any costs to units of local government to implement the provisions of the bill would not be significant.
