IN RE:	HB1665 by King, Phil (Relating to the penalty imposed on defaulting jurors.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend various statutes to change juror fines to a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $1,000.  Since Government Code 62.0141 already sets the fines at these rates no significant impact is expected.  The bill would be effective September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
