No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the rules governing a motion for new trial in juvenile cases.  To the extent the bill would amend court procedures relating to motions for new trial and appeals from judgments in juvenile cases, no increase in judicial workloads or fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
