No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Property Code and require a landlord or landlord’s agent, before entering a lease, to give specific written notice to tenants regarding renter’s insurance. It is assumed that any costs associated with implementation of the bill would not be significant.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
