No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the penal code as it relates to the penalties for theft of cattle, horses, exotic livestock, exotic fowl, sheep, swine, or goats.  The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009 and apply to offenses committed on or after that date.  It is assumed that the bill would not significantly affect the operations of state or local government. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
