FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1925 by Gutierrez (Relating to the compensation of certain court administrators.), As Engrossed
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to remove the requirement that when the county commissioners court sets a court administrator's salary, the amount is not to exceed 70 percent of the salary paid by the county to the judges.
Local Government Impact
It is assumed that a county commissioner's court would set the court administrator's salary at an amount that could be absorbed within the county's budget. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
