HB1974 by Hamilton (Relating to distilled spirits samplings by the holder of a distiller's and rectifier's permit.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code, Section 14.01 to allow holders of a distiller’s and rectifier’s permit to dispense free distilled spirits for consumption on the permitted premises.  The bill would also amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code by adding Section 14.04 providing guidelines for distilled spirit sampling events held by holders of a distiller’s and rectifier’s permit.  The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote of all the members in each house, otherwise it would take effect on September 1, 2009.

 

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) anticipates no significant fiscal impact to their agency.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
