HB1981 by Rodriguez (Relating to the regulation of stormwater management by certain counties.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add to the list of counties authorized to take any necessary or proper action to comply with the requirements of the stormwater permitting program under the national pollutant discharge elimination system a county with a population of 800,000 or more that contains a portion of the Edwards Aquifer.

Based on the applicability criteria, the bill would apply only to Travis County.


Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
