HB2068 by Elkins (Relating to an identification card for certain retired peace officers.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 1701.357, Occupations Code relating to certain peace officers eligible for retired peace officer identification cards.  The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote of all the members in each house, otherwise it would take effect on September 1, 2009.

 

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) do not anticipate significant fiscal impact to their agencies from the bill.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
